United State based comedian and TV personality Joan Rivers has passed away.
The 81-year-old ‘Fashion Police’ co-host is reported to have died today September 4, 2014, after spending a week in a coma.
She passed away at Mount Sinai Hospital, New York city.
"It is with great sadness to announce to you the death of my mother, Joan Rivers,"her daughter Melissa Rivers said in a written statement today.
"She passed at 1:17 p.m. surrounded by family and close friends and relatives. My son and I would like to thank the doctors, nurses, and staff of Mount Sinai Hospital for the great care they provided my mother with before passing away.
Rivers who suffered from a cardiac arrest on August 28, 2014. She was rushed to the hospital, where she arrived unconscious and doctors kept her sedated.
