The mass was officiated through the Prefect Emeritus of your Congregation for Divine Worship and also the Discipline of Sacraments, Francis Primary Arinze. He was assisted through the Archbishop of Abuja Diocese John Cardinal Onaiyekan along with bishops.
The former Brain of State General Yakubu Gowon along with Bola Obasanjo, wife from the former President, were seen in the ceremony.
“Our mother, who lived a legacy life and would remain the light from the nation because she served the nation diligently, ” said Governor Willie Obiano of Anambra.
After the chapel service, Dr Akunyili’s human body was later buried inside her husband’s home.
She's survived by her hubby Dr Chike Akunyili along with children.
