Minister associated with Health Prof. Onyebuchi Chukwu said today that Nigeria continues to be able to reduce the amount of Ebola cases to only 1.
At a press briefing kept today August 26th within Abuja, Prof. Onyebuchi said only one patient out from the 13 confirmed cases in Nigeria is still at the Isolation center. He said five of people infected died while seven have successfully recovered and still have been discharged. He also said two on the nurses who attended to Patrick Sawyer in the First Consultant hospital had been discharged yesterday.

"Of these 12, five, including the index case unfortunately did not survive the disease and are also now late. However, seven on the infected persons were successfully managed in the Isolation ward in Lagos and still have been discharged home.
"Two associated with treated patients, a male doctor along with a female nurse were dismissed yesterday evening, 25th September, 2014 having satisfied this criteria for discharge.
"I wish to reassure Nigerians as well as the global community the Government shall remain vigilant and will not relent as Government continues to use her partners to be sure that the disease is kept out from the country. Thank you. ”.
