FEDRAL GOV. OF NIGERIA RE-APPOINT 1600 FIRED RESIDENT DOCTORS

On Wednesday, August 13, the Nigerian federal fired all 16, 000 resident doctors in Nigeria during efforts to end the actual Nigerian Medical Association’s (NMA) punch, which had lasted for 55 days before it was called off several days ago. Minister of Health, Onyebuchi Chukwu, has today announced which the government has decided to reverse its decision to terminate the actual nationwide residency program, AIT reviews. As a result, the 16000 resident doctors who were fired due to termination of the program, have now been re-appointed.
